Import a PDF, pick the pages or the chapter you need, and PupilBot writes the flashcards for you. You answer in your own words; the AI grades it, and spaced repetition brings each card back before you forget it.

## How it works

1. **Import the PDF.** Choose “Load a PDF”, then pick individual pages, a range, or a chapter from the outline. One study accepts up to 50 pages.
2. **PupilBot reads it and writes the cards.** Pages with a text layer skip OCR; scans use OCR. The AI identifies topics and writes the cards, usually in about a minute.
3. **Answer, get graded, review on schedule.** Type or dictate. The AI compares your answer with the reference and explains gaps; spaced repetition schedules the next review.

## What the page picker can do

- Pick single pages, a range such as 12–18, or a chapter from the PDF outline.
- PDFs with a real text layer skip OCR.
- Scanned PDFs use OCR; straight, well-lit scans work best.
- Use up to 50 pages per study. For a long book, make one study per chapter so mastery stays separate.

### Flash cards and quiz questions together

A study mixes flash cards with single- and multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank and numeric questions, chosen per topic — so one PDF becomes both a deck and a quiz.

## Frequently asked questions

1. **Do I have to type the flashcards myself?** No. PupilBot writes them from the selected pages. You can flag a bad card or regenerate the study.
2. **Are the flashcards self-graded, like Anki or Quizlet?** No. You answer first; the AI grades against the reference and explains the gap.
3. **Does it work with scanned PDFs?** Yes. Pages without a text layer use OCR, like a photo.
